2nd.Cor.chapters 1 and 4 ~{ There's something you can do!}

Good Saturday Morning! Hope all is well with You!  girls~ I know your hearts are with the ones in Alabama, just as mine is. This is one of the circumstances that we just cannot understand. But as I was reading scripture this morning and searching for a word, that would comfort, I came across these words...of Life! In 2nd Cor. chapter 1:3 it says..Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, (v.4)..who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
Now, what can I do to help, all I know to do is pray! for the destruction of hearts, homes and the devastation that has taken place, and keep "Trusting God" and not doubting in any way; for my heart is so sick to hear and see this type of devastation. I, personally have never been in any thing like this and how can I say "I" understand what these people have gone through"! I can't!!, all I know is to take comfort in His Word..( v.10)..He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us, AS YOU HELP US BY YOUR PRAYERS.  Now this is what we can Do!!  and on to the final promise of God is this..Chapter 4:8 tells us this..WE ARE HARD PRESSED ON EVERY SIDE,BUT NOT CRUSHED; PERPLEXED BUT NOT IN DESPAIR; PERSECUTED, BUT NOT ABANDONED; STRUCK DOWN, BUT NOT DESTROYED.
WoW~ what words of encouragement that our Lord has for us~ Please join me in everything that we have got and lets just Do~IT!  PRAY!!
Have a Glorious week~End! Make it one of Praising, Thanking, and Hoping in The Lord Jesus Christ.

  1. This is on my heart too this morning as I pray for these people. It is hard to imagine a calamity where even the police and fire departments and hospitals are destroyed. As God's Word tells us, we can call on the Name of the Lord.

  2. I agree. This is the subject of my post today also. I noted your name with interest. My best friend in the 6th grade was Kay Myers. Spelled different but it made me think of her.
    I'm glad you shared with us on Spiritual Sundays.
    Blessings,
    Charlotte

  7. Our God of all comfort uses His hands and feet on earth to reach out to those hurting. So, I pray (being here on the west coast) that the believers that are near will be light and comfort to those who have been devastated...

    Blessings, Debbie
