what size of "STONE"~ do we need?......

Happy :)Wednesday Morning! Hoping this finds you just resting in His Promises!  not fretting over the what~ifs ?.... I started my first baseball run last night, w/grandson Rowdy. I took him to practice, and watched him smack the ball, now he has not played BB since T-Ball, when he got to the batting part, that kid, I know he would have had 2 home runs if it had been a game! Good Hit! Rowdy!!
Now~ about the "HIT"...just going to jump over to the book of 1st.Samuel (ch.17)~ WoW! what a "Hit" that was! so~ just think of the 5 stones that were gathered?...David stands against Goliath with "the name of the Lord". By calling on God's name, David is making an appeal to God's Honor, Authority, Character, and Presence.
*DAVID SAID TO THE PHILISTINE, "YOU COME AGAINST ME WITH SWORD AND SPEAR AND JAVELIN, BUT I COME AGAINST YOU IN THE NAME OF THE LORD ALMIGHTY, THE GOD OF THE ARMIES OF ISRAEL, WHOM YOU HAVE DEFIED.(V.45).
Now that was a hit in it's self. Who can stand when "The Name" is spoken?....
*REACHING INTO HIS BAG AND TAKING OUT A STONE, HE SLUNG IT AND STRUCK THE PHILISTINE ON THE FOREHEAD. THE STONE SANK INTO HIS FOREHEAD,AND HE FELL FACE DOWN ON THE GROUND. (v.49).
Ladie's~ this message came to me yesterday when I was again...yes! I said "again"....thinking about the "what if" in a circumstance still raging! But when I was in the search for this thought, God clarified it that if we just continue speaking the "Name of Jesus", Satan has to flee, because he cannot stand the Name of JESUS!!  So for today~ this is what we must HEAR~
*ALL THOSE GATHERED HERE WILL KNOW THAT IT IS NOT BY SWORD OR SPEAR THAT THE LORD SAVES, FOR THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S AND HE WILL GIVE ALL OF YOU INTO OUR HANDS.(v.47).

{food for thought}...
When we pray in the Lord's name, remember what God has done and confidently place the results in "HIS HANDS"!  Thank you LORD~ for your HANDS!

  1. I think I will take the BIG stone and throw it at my "what if" situation and then pray and rest in God's promise.
Thank you for sharing this today my friend.
    Blessings,
