On a more "Serious Note"

Good Thursday Morning Ladies, Hope you have had a good week thus far! Sharing a picture of a "blueberry bush", in preps of going again to pick, on Friday morning. Just Love It! :)
On a more serious note, I want to share with you the experience of last nights church service, I am ashamed tho, because I have not attended on Wednesdays in a while. But the service was one, of a very serious act to me! , and that was The Lord's Supper! I just felt so unworthy. As my pastor began to prepare us for this, he explained that we need to examine ourselves! (Ouch!)Oh, my goodness with the issues that my Family has been going through, I knew I was not worthy!, because of the anger ,bitterness, hurt, & humiliated emotions that has settled in this spirit of mine!, Lord Help Me!!; as I began to cry out in a silent manner; this has never hit me so hard! but I knew I had some work to do, in order to prepare myself for this time. As we were given the moment of "one on one" with the Lord, all I knew to say was Lord! forgive me!
In words, thoughts and even actions that "my" spirit has wanted to do; Just to "get back". (Lord Help! me again). As I worked this out in the best of my prayer, was to quickly run to him, for He already knew what "junk" was there. So you see God already knew that I needed Him in this very significant service! I just want to Thank God this very moment for His prompting of His Spirit and causing me to act and move into "His direction". In a side note of my bible I love the way that the writer puts it all into perspective; and it says....
The cup of the Lord's supper is the symbol of your fellowship with Jesus and His suffering; it is your "participation in the blood of Christ" and "in the body of Christ".
But the promise stands: We are God's children and Heirs, if indeed we share in his sufferings
in order that we may also share in his glory. (Romans 8:17).
So in times of suffering, HOLD ONTO HIS PROMISES!!
*Final thought: Ask the Holy Spirit to enable you to accept your sufferings. Willingly offer them to God as a sacrifice. Then ask God to "purify" and renew you through them.
PS., If the Holy Spirit so leads you, (I would love comments), on your thoughts of "The Lord's Supper." Thank you, and *TO GOD BE THE GLORY*!

  3. So grateful the Lord has allowed our paths to cross! I could not have said it better than you when you said: "Ask the Holy Spirit to enable you to accept your sufferings. Willingly offer them to God as a sacrifice. Then ask God to 'purify' and renew you through them." Offer my sufferings as a sacrifice--- Such truth in this! Praise Him even in our times of suffering. This is the key. The Lord's Supper gives us time to inspect our hearts, get right with Him (and others if need be), reflect on His suffering and His sacrfice on our behalf, and worship Him--even through the tears of gratitude. Thanks for sharing your heart with us. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
    God bless you! :)

  4. Wow~ this is an amazing post! The Lord really meets in and everyone of us where we need him to be..in the middle of the mess just waiting to pick us up and help us deal with whatever we are going through~ I have been in this place so many times where I just needed to repent because we are not responsible for how others treat us but we are responsible for our actions..it took we a long time to really come to this realization. I have been through some very hard times with my health...never-ending and with financial woes and with "family" issues and each and every time the Lord has met in that place....suffering is something that we are going to endure in this life but! He came that we don't have to go through it alone.
    Blessings,
    Vikki
