And "The "Flood" came!

Hey Girls, good morning! I just had to share a moment of "laughter" with you! Now at the time this occurred last night it was not funny!! (of course). But because I am the type of person that really likes to draw blessings from disaster, then I had to find some humor in the flood process!
Last night I put a load of laundry on, came to just glance at any e-mails that came in, and I'm really talking just a couple of minutes; I got up and looked into the kitchen and it was the most massive amount of water running every where, I just went into a mode of Oh!! my gosh, that happened so quick I could not think! My husband is the type of person that immediately jumps into an "aggravation" mode and begins to say things like "why in the world did you let that happen for"??. And of course I take this to a deeper lever in my soul, and speak before I think, but I caught myself before I started to defend myself, with the explanation of I don't have any idea what happened to the washer! but anyway, Thank god that my son had left his wet/dry vac. here! That pretty well did the trick, but I then had to get busy on the utility room I had a lot of wet towels that had soaked up all that water! Girls this is work, but after about 3 hrs. of clean-up and hubby went to bed, I sat down and just Thanked God for my home!! So this morning I must finish the laundry room because all that water really pushed a lot of "dust bunnies" out from under all my organized clutter!! I will now have to get to that room today! no more procrastination here! Final thought: as my sweet daddy would say; just clean it up, don't think anymore about it and keep going! I love and miss you dad!!

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Prov.17:22(NIV).

(PS. also liked the wording from "The Message"), A cheerful disposition is good for your health;
gloom and doom leave you bone-tired.

  1. What an awesome attitude! I don't know that I would have been so calm~ It is funny though how these little home disasters cause us to do things we have been putting off...been there done that and wrote the book!hahaha Patience..sometimes I tell the Lord that I could do with less!
    Blessings,

  2. So sorry about the flood, but so glad the wet vac was handy. It is so good when we are able to deal with it, and not let it get to us. Hope tomorrow is a blessed day for you. Jackie
